December First

It is officially the first month of my new work year. I have chosen to make December the beginning of my work year for a number of reasons. Business is very slow. I enjoy having time to catch up with office work, get organized, plan my schedule for the new year and so on. December is the month my body stops traveling everyday and lets my mind catch up with my thoughts. I have some new ideas on how I will be approaching this next work year. I have set goals and I have rearranged each week so that I hopefully will offer myself time and attention in each area of my life. 30's. Gets busier and busier. I like it that way. I love to make my schedule. The biggest challenge is where to fit my naps in and some down time with my love, JJ. Busyness is wonderful. Blessing! I have met many people over the past year who don't have a job. I'm so blessed to have mine and that I absolutely love to do my job.
December is also a time to catch up on crafts and dessert making. And this year sounds like a soupy December. I have two more soups on my list to try next. Cookies. There are some jelly cookies that I can't wait to try. I want to do something with chocolate and peppermint. Maybe a cake....no... CUPCAKES!. MMMM.... I have not found where my exercise routine fits into my new year's schedule. I better figure that out with all these yummies baking in my kitchen.
And what is on the craft list? Sewing some Christmas pillow cases for the couch. I would love a new couch for Christmas. I wonder if Santa could fit that down our chimney? If not, he could just ring the bell and we would be more than happy to carry it into the house. I nice brown leather sofa with buttons. Cozy. or something like this... That would be fine too.
or this...

Anyways, on my crafty list... Crochet everything. Hats, cowls, hand warmers, baby items, flowers, etc. Also, I have an apron that Lilly and I started. I need to get back in the apron groove. And Christmas decor, I have a cork wreath on my list, a tree skirt, and other fun cute things. Gorgeous little things.
Well, I had better get cracking on that crochet list of To Do's. Oh, and I just had an idea for a collage of me and JJ items. I'll get to that eventually and post pics. Look for that, mmm, probably closer to spring.

Note: I'm pretty sure I fell in love with some boots today. Santa could bring me those too, please.
